ALL ABOUT MHC
Hello, I'm William Meade! Owner and Founder of Meade Home Concepts LLC.
Below is a small anecdote about my life leading up to the creation of MHC. Enjoy!
"Billy" was young when his interest in building was first sparked. He began in the backyard of his childhood home, constructing tree-forts and clubhouses with scrap wood he collected on nearby job sites. Quickly refining his methods, Billy found himself pulling his little red wagon around jobsite to jobsite, getting to know all the local builders, in an effort to collect all their scrap cut-offs to recycle for his projects. The building continued as Billy procured the basic tools and knowledge to create.
His first real "job" was at 16, when his aunt "contracted him" to build an extravagant tree-house in her backyard. The ultimate project for a kid like Billy. Complete with 2 zip-lines, front and side porches, and rooftop viewing deck, this first job definitely did not fall short on extras.
At 17, Billy has already began building all sorts of go karts and machines, and earned the spot as the top student of Northern Valley Demarest's Wood-shop class. To accommodate for the ever growing need and love of tools and toys, Billy constructed himself a shed/workshop in his backyard. He had then converted this shed into his primary workshop where MHC was conceptualized.
At 18, with a high school diploma as well as an interest and understanding of electrical circuitry, Billy attended Manhattan College for Electrical Engineering. A year is all he would choose to complete because that following summer he received an electrical apprenticeship opportunity and never looked back. Little did he know his boss would become his most highly regarded mentor, who has instilled in him a disciplined work ethic and great passion for the trades, as well as the values of the customer, and the importance of doing the job right.
After working for the electrical company for over five years, Billy was able to pickup the tips a tricks of not only the electrical field, but all of the the construction, building, and remodeling aspects as well. He slowly began to do work on the side for friends and family, learning as he went along, performing small tasks to help those around him.
To this day, Billy still always takes pride in his work simply to achieve a job well done, and is always looking to take on the next challenge any project may throw his way.
